Noise / drum support
Seized and unevenly worn drum rollers
The dryer was rumbling heavily. Several rollers were badly worn and some had seized, letting the drum ride unevenly. The roller set was replaced and the drum returned to smooth operation.
Gas heat / burner
Weak burner flame from failing valve coils
The gas dryer was heating poorly because burner operation was weak and inconsistent. Diagnosis pointed to the gas-valve coils; replacing them restored normal burner operation and heat.
Drum not turning
Broken drive belt
A broken belt left the drum unable to turn. The belt was replaced and the idler and drum-support system were checked before reassembly.
